This is a collection of some of what I've done and what I've found, a kind of digital catch-all drawer that continues to accumulate with time. I share it here as a way to organize it for myself and as an opportunity for others to connect with me.
In the midst of conflict and angry voices, I seek wisdom. How can I live a creative and meaningful life when bombarded by short-fused, antagonistic souls that seem to feed on misery? Do I separate? Lash out? Lay down and adjust a flattened existence? None of those appeal to me. I want to be connected, to grow and feed, to transfer what I gather through some kind of output.
This poem by David Whyte is a source of strength and wonder, reminding me of the potential that exists everywhere. I have a lot of soot that smears me, and with some simple acts, I can rinse clean and be better for myself and those near me. Reading and listening are two of those acts. I invite you to read and listen below.
